HOW TO CLEAN AND STORE YOUR TOOTHBRUSH

Poor dental hygiene leads to gum disease, tooth decay, and countless other dental risks. In addition to seeing your dentist near Belmont, you have to brush and floss your teeth every day to remove bacteria, food debris, and other contaminants. Watch this video and learn how to clean and store your toothbrush the right way.

If you let your toothbrush get dirty, then it won’t be as effective when you use it. It might even be counterproductive, as brushing with a dirty toothbrush can introduce foreign contaminants to your mouth. Rinse off any debris or toothpaste residue when you’re done using your toothbrush, and shake it out to help it dry. When you store it, make sure it’s standing upright. This keeps it from contacting any other surfaces in the room and picking up bacteria. The bacteria on your brush will die as the bristles dry, leaving you with a clean dental tool.
