
Meet Dr. Howard Yoon
Dr. Howard Yoon's goal is to treat patients with respect and compassion, providing unequaled patient care with a gentle, attentive touch. Dr. Yoon grew up in South Korea, Turkey, and Canada before moving to the U.S. With this background, he brings a global perspective to his practice. He speaks Korean, Japanese, and French in addition to English.
His passion for learning led him to McGill University, where he received his Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Commerce, and Doctor of Dental Medicine with Distinction. Building on this foundation, Dr. Yoon pursued advanced specialty training, earning his Advanced Education in General Dentistry certificate at the University of Rochester. He then attained his Master of Science in oral biology and completed the advanced graduate program in endodontics at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. While there, he served as chief resident.
Dr. Yoon's dedication to advancing dental science is evident through numerous research studies published in prestigious journals, including the European Journal of Neuroscience, Plos One, and Journal of Endodontics. He has presented his findings at the American Association of Endodontists and was recognized with the Alvin Krakow Award from Harvard University for his research in endodontics.
As a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Endodontists, and Royal College of Dentists of Canada, he stays current with the latest technology and best practices to provide exceptional personalized care.
Dr. Yoon also actively serves his community through volunteer dental work and education programs. He has participated in outreach initiatives that bring essential dental care to people with limited access to healthcare. This includes his work with physically and intellectually disabled patients in Canada, where he provided free dental treatment.
When not with patients, Dr. Yoon is an admirer of the arts, enjoys painting, hiking, and is a fan of professional soccer.
