
Meet Dr. Sean M. Langton
Dr. Sean M. Langton is a highly accomplished and passionate dental professional, known for his commitment to excellence in patient care and advanced clinical training. A native of Melrose, Massachusetts, Dr. Langton graduated from St. John's Preparatory School and went on to attend Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. He initially pursued a successful career in the financial services industry before ultimately finding his true calling in dentistry.
Driven by a desire to make a meaningful impact through healthcare, Dr. Langton enrolled at Boston University's Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. During his time at BU, he focused heavily on clinical excellence and graduated cum laude along with being recognized among his peers with the prestigious Clinical Excellence Award for his dedication to quality and compassionate patient care.
Advanced Training & Professional Development
Following dental school, Dr. Langton deepened his expertise by attending NYU College of Dentistry's Residency in Advanced Aesthetics and Occlusion from 2017 to 2018. He commuted weekly from Boston to New York to complete this rigorous training, which further refined his skills in aesthetic and functional dentistry.

Continuing his pursuit of mastery, Dr. Langton completed a Biomimetic Dentistry Mastership from the Alleman Center for Biomimetic Dentistry in Provo, Utah between 2020 and 2021. This program focused on the most advanced techniques in adhesive and minimally invasive restorative dentistry.
Simultaneously, Dr. Langton began training at the renowned Kois Center in Seattle, Washington - the world's leading institute for advanced dental education in esthetics, implants, and restorative care. He graduated from the Kois Center in 2024 and is proud to be one of only a select few Kois Center graduates practicing in Massachusetts.
Innovation in Dentistry, Awards, & Recognition
Dr. Langton's innovative contributions to dentistry extend beyond clinical practice. He is the inventor of Litewing®, a patented intraoral diagnostic lighting system that uses advanced transillumination and macro photography to detect hard and soft tissue pathology - without ionizing radiation. The system was granted full U.S. patent status in April 2023 and represents a novel step forward in safe, accurate dental diagnostics.
His excellence has been recognized through numerous awards and honors, including being named to Boston Magazine's "Best of Boston" for Cosmetic & General Dentistry from 2018-2025. Most recently, he was selected as a 2025 Incisal Edge "40 Under 40" National Honoree, recognized among the top 40 dentists under 40 in the United States.
Dr. Langton maintains active memberships in several prestigious professional organizations, including the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and Massachusetts Dental Society.
Giving Back & Life Outside the Office
Beyond the clinic, Dr. Langton is deeply committed to giving back. Each year, he donates his time and expertise by traveling to Eleuthera in the Bahamas with the world-famous musician Lenny Kravitz and the GLO Good Foundation. Together, they provide free dental care to underserved populations on the island, helping to improve lives and restore smiles in a region with limited access to oral healthcare.
In addition to his clinical and philanthropic work, Dr. Langton is an avid dental photographer. He enjoys sharing some of his most compelling and aesthetically challenging cases on social media, offering insight and inspiration to both patients and colleagues.
Dr. Langton currently resides in Lexington, Massachusetts with his wife, Jimena - whom he met during their undergraduate years at Trinity College - and their three sons: Luca, Marco, and Elio. As a father and community member, he brings compassion, excellence, and purpose to every aspect of his work and life.
