Flossing is an important part of a proper dental hygiene routine, and it should be practiced every day. Either before or after brushing your teeth, take a long string of floss and wrap each end around your middle fingers. Use the section of floss that you have pinched between your fingers to remove bacteria, food products, and other debris from between your teeth. Be sure to continuously move on to a clean section of floss as you go, and be sure to hug the sides of your teeth so you can take care of the hidden debris from under your gums. If you don't like traditional floss, consider using another type of dental flosser.
